Chemex Eight Cup Glass Coffee Maker with Glass Handle - 2-8 cup (40oz.) Coffee Maker

This review is from: Chemex Eight Cup Glass Coffee Maker with Glass Handle - 2-8 cup (40oz.) Coffee MakerSo simple. Put in a filter, add coffee, pour hot water over it, drippity drip, drink. There are several sizes available from these guys - this one works for me and I like having the handle rather than that weird wooden belt thing to grip it by. I discovered that their branded filter papers are better than trying to just use cheapie grocery store ones, but those will work too. The flimsier ones bend themselves into the groove and create a seal, which can lead to a burbly mess as displaced air in the bottom chamber tries to escape, bringing coffee with it. If you want to use the cheap filters, lay a straw inside the groove so there's a place for the air to escape. Whether the flavor is better with their branded filters is a holy war I'm not getting into....This review is from: Chemex Eight Cup Glass Coffee Maker with Glass Handle - 2-8 cup (40oz.) Coffee MakerThis is a simple and elegant device for preparing and serving pour over coffee. If you don't drink it all at once, I recommend the glass lid that can be purchased separately and the metal grate for electric burners so that you can warm your coffee on the stove top. Easy to use and easy to clean....
