It quit working though after just about 8 months!!!! It just stopped working, period. The reason for me wanting to write this review is that I wish that all the manufactures will design their products, keeping their users in mind. The most important design point is to do the essential basic things well, and easy for the users to use. I have bought expensive coffee makers in the past with many fancy features, but brew terrible coffees and cumbersome to use. In my criteria, this coffee maker is one of the best I have ever used. It is very basic model, no programming or any fancy features, but making good cups of coffee quickly and conveniently. It is very easy to pour the water into the water reservoir, and the water indicator on both sides are very clearly marked and see. You can make one cup (the American style cup) for one person to drink easily. I find that many drip coffee makers cannot do the small job easily or at all. It uses type 4 cone paper filters, which design to ensures optimal coffee saturation and extraction than the basket shaped filters. The design of the filter holder makes change filters easily, and it is breeze to clean. This machine is almost as easy to use as Keurig style of coffee maker. With this machine, you have added advantage with the vast variety of coffee choices and less expensive. For design as a simple coffee maker, this machine is fantastic, I will give it five stars. However, I hate the cheap plastic material it uses for the machine, especially the water reservoir. I think it adds somewhat plastic taste to otherwise good cup of coffee. I hope that Kalorik will make this machine with better material -- it will be a winner for sure!...This review is from: Coffee Maker Red Metallic Glass Jar (Red) (13.75\"H x 8\"W x 10\"D)For us who have a little trouble with our eye sight this is a product that stands out when the counter-top looks whispy. Great product, simple to use. Buy an extra decanter in case you drop yours. You want to be able to keep making, simple, fresh, coffee....
